Garage Door Opener Repair
Customer Issue: Mr. Stanley had grown tired of how much racket his garage door made while moving when it should be operating quietly.
Our Solution: We felt that Mr. Stanley’s Genie 4042-TKH model garage door opener would most likely be the cause after testing the door ourselves. After uninstalling the opener, our team opened it to look over the interior components. We discovered the motor had been damaged and repaired it before returning the opener overhead. Our technicians checked the door again to assure the sound had stopped.
Panel Replacement
Customer Issue: The customer found that a panel on their garage door had been broken and wanted to get it repaired as quickly as possible, so she contacted us.
Our Solution: Once our experts determined that the damage was too great to just repair, a proper replacement of the right color and measurements was found right away. The door was then taken down briefly to unbolt the damaged panel and remove it so the new one could be installed.
Spring Replacement
Customer Issue: The customer had a spring break during the middle of the workday when he was away from home.
Our Solution: As always, our team was very careful to ease the tension out of the springs – especially the broken one with its multiple fragments – before uncapping them. We then removed the old springs, lubricated the torsion system, and installed their replacements before testing the garage door out to see if it could move safely once again.
Garage Door Troubleshooting
Customer Issue: The door wouldn't stop reversing even though the sensors weren't misaligned.
Our Solution: After we eliminated the photo eye sensors as possible causes, we began to examine the rest of the potential culprits. Eventually, we discovered a major dent and blockage in one of the tracks that was preventing the rollers from moving. The opener interpreted it as resistance, which caused its auto-reverse mechanism to engage. We repaired the bent track and then tested the system again to ensure the issue was solved.
Opener Repair
Customer Issue: Opener not starting.
Our Solution: After checking the likely causes, like the power outlet and the external wiring, we opened the opener's case and checked the circuit board. As it turned out, it was significantly damaged and needed to be replaced. We installed a new logic board that matched the motor unit's model and then saw to it that it was able work reliably again.
Garage Door Off Track
Customer Issue: Bent vertical track caused a few rollers to pop out.
Our Solution: Before doing anything else, we first secured the door in pace. Then we repaired the track section which caused the problem, and inserted the metal rollers back inside it afterwards. Before leaving, we made sure to lift and lower the door several times to make sure it could move smoothly.
